Let’s Talk About Sex
Sex. Love. Marriage — does the order matter? God’s design, the world’s distortion, and the way back. For anyone who wants to understand this properly: single, preparing for marriage, or thirty years in.
Why this has its own page
Most Christian teaching on sex arrives too late and says too little — a warning before the wedding, silence afterwards, and nothing at all for the single person trying to stay whole. So this is not tucked inside a couples programme. It stands on its own, because the people who need it are not all couples.
The governing rule, and it does not bend: we score the conversation about your intimate life, never the performance. There is no question anywhere in the Intimacy Check asking how often you have sex, and there never will be. A couple who talk well and want differently are in better shape than a couple who perform well and say nothing.
Three ways in
You choose which you are at the start. The questions that belong to everyone are asked of everyone; the ones that assume a partner are not asked of someone who does not have one.
I am single
What you believe, what formed you, and what you are carrying. No questions about “us”, because there is no us yet — and the work you do now is the work you will not have to do later.
We are preparing for marriage
Everything above, plus expectation, refusal, the body, family planning, and the wedding night that is currently being planned entirely on rumour.
We are married
Desire and difference, pain and function, the seasons a body goes through, and the conversation that quietly stopped somewhere around the second child.
The book
God’s design, the world’s distortion, and the way back.
Written plainly, without either coyness or crudeness. Expectation. History. Shame. Refusal. Health. Pornography. What “no” means inside a covenant, and what “yes” costs when it is not true. Your result routes you to the chapters that match your two lowest modules.
If you are struggling
Pornography. Masturbation. A chat that became something. An affair you have not confessed, or one you cannot forgive. These are the most common reasons couples stop talking about intimacy, and the least spoken about in any church.
Two of its six modules — what formed you, and freedom and struggle — are yours alone. Never in a couple code. Never shown to a spouse. Every question in them can be skipped, and skipping costs you nothing. If you name something, you get a private Struggle Path: the thing named plainly, the chapters, and one honest line — willpower alone has a record, and you already know what it is.
Neither is repaired by an assessment, and we will not pretend otherwise. What the Check does is tell you the truth about where you are and then route you to a person — a Guide or a counsellor trained for this. If you are the one who has to tell: tell one mature person first, then tell them, and tell them before the decision is made rather than after.
Nobody is copied. Nobody in your congregation is told. We hold no record of what you answered, because there is nowhere in our system to put it.
