The paid core
Eight conversations every couple must have before they say “I do”. The assessment shows you the doors. This is where you open them — with a workbook, an online course, and two live sessions with a certified Guide.
Three ways to do it
Buy the Course journal and work through it as a couple, at home. Exercises, scripts and written commitments for every door. No account needed.
The eight sessions online, with the journal, and prompts that follow your Map — so you start with your closed doors rather than at session one.
Everything above, plus two live sessions with a certified Guide who reads your Map with you and asks the questions a page cannot. Places are limited by design.
What you work through
Your assessment decides the order. A couple whose Money door is closed and whose Faith door is open does not start at session one — they start where the work is.
What you each send home, what you owe, and the number neither of you has said.
Who has the final word, who may move in, and how you will answer together.
Prayer, church, giving, and what happens if one of you cools off.
Expectation, history, refusal, health — taught plainly, without crudeness.
How you fight, who leaves the room, and how repair actually works.
Whose career moves the family, and who does what at home.
How many, when, and what you will do if children do not come.
What you learned by watching your parents, and which of it you are keeping.
What actually happens
Every session has the same six movements, so by session three you are not learning a format — you are just doing the work. Ninety minutes, or two evenings of forty-five if that is what your week allows.
Before you meet. One chapter of Let’s Talk About Marriage, ten to fifteen minutes, each of you separately so neither is reading over the other’s shoulder.
Four to six written prompts each, in your own copy. Writing it first is what stops the louder partner from setting the answer before the quieter one has found theirs.
Side by side, out loud. This is where most couples discover the assumption they had both been making and neither had said.
One per session, printed in the journal, drawn from what your Map marked closed. It is meant to be uncomfortable. It is not meant to be a fight, and the script tells you how to keep it from becoming one.
Every door closes with something in writing and signed by both of you — not a feeling, a decision. What we will do about my family’s requests. Who manages what. What we have agreed about the wedding night.
Then the page is dated. In two years, in five, when the same subject comes back, you will have the page. Couples underestimate how much this one habit is worth.
What is in your hands
One per person, not one per couple — you write separately and compare. Eight chapters, the written prompts, the eight commitment pages, and room for the dates.
From the free assessment, printed and clipped inside the front cover. It sets your running order: you begin at your closed doors, not at session one.
Ten to fourteen minutes each, Denis and Arit teaching the chapter, in English or French. Watch on a phone, on data, before you sit down.
Word for word, for the four questions in each session that couples get wrong when they improvise. You are not expected to know how to say these things.
On the top tier: a certified Guide reads your Map with you and asks what a page cannot ask. One near the start, one at the end.
Many pastors will not marry a couple without evidence of preparation. Completing the eight sessions produces a certificate you can hand them. It carries no scores.
It is not counselling, and a Course cannot fix a marriage that needs a counsellor — if something in your Map came back as a safety concern, that comes first and we will say so plainly on your report. It is also not a test you can fail. Nobody is graded, nobody is compared with another couple, and no score you produce is ever shown to your church.
Join the next cohort
Leave your address and we will send the next cohort dates, the price in your currency, and how to pay. Nothing is charged here, and taking the assessment stays free whatever you decide.
Couples enrol in twos. If you give your partner's address we will write to them as well — and to nobody else, ever.
Free to find out where you stand. Paid only when you want somebody to walk it with you.
